Outdoor Dining Cover and Single Garage Attachment in Surrey

This lovely unobtrusive outdoor dining area is attached to a single bay full span garage. Black painted roller shutter doors have been used at the front framed by oak braces. Whilst the rear of the garage leads through a personnel door onto the dining space and garden. The Radcliffe Outdoor Living Gazebo in Buckinghamshire

This is the Radcliffe Gazebo. This oak frame Gazeebo uses natural slate tiles on the roof. Exposed oak trusses & purlins are also used, these accentuate the traditions of craftsmanship we use here at the Oak Designs Co. The Radcliffe’s pitched gable roof creates an amazing vaulted ceiling with eye catching feature trusses.

The brickwork to the rear and left-hand side offers a fantastic framework for a number of different outdoor features, such as the sink, fridge, hob, BBQ and pizza oven. The Chapel Garden Gazebo in Surrey

This oak frame gazebo project came together like a dream. The oak frame as you can see has started to silver classically in the sun and the cedar roof which started off an orangey colour and now looks very similar to slate but a lot softer. Cedar shingle tiles are superb as they help bring the ridge height down on a roof (ideal for planning), they are great value for money and also as you can see in the photos weather beautifully. Oak frame gazebo’s provide amazing areas in which to entertain outdoors in your garden, relax in the shade and also provide that ermergency safe haven with the famous English summer BBQ days where all of a sudden it has been known to tip it down with rain!

Our clients have done a beautiful job with the garden planting and trailing English roses which they have trained around the gazebo. The building itself has many little touches which help bring the space together. From the vaulted roof, to the oak door to the reclaimed brickwork wall and the separate BBQ area at the end it just makes it a very enviable space!

This oak framed gazebo was a pleasure to work on and we at the Oak Designs Company are delighted are clients love it too, they even told me some of their friends wanted to get married underneath it! Their Daughter has nicknamed it, “The Chapel,” and we think it’s an elegant yet simple name perfect for this beautiful garden building.

Summer House in Kent

With full length windows and French doors to the front and vaulted ceiling this little gem of an oak frame garden building makes it feel larger internally than it looks.

This building has been done to a habitable dwelling spec by us at The Oak Designs Company, whilst specialist trades were used to do the plastering decorating and electrics. Due to this, the garden hideaway is breathable & insulted it can therefore be used for multiple uses including a home office and outdoor entertaining/relaxing area ideal away from the hustle and bustle, at the end of the garden.

The building can be opened up to the garden with the large French door & the Mullion windows on this building have a limited opening mechanism which allow air to circulate but also allow the windows to be secure and create another source of light into the building.

Further internally some oak beams have been left visible by the plaster and the flooring has been finishing off with oak flooring boards.

Our oak frame outdoor living buildings blend into their surroundings better than other garden buildings with the use of natural materials and classic designs, helped also by the oak weatherboarding which has been used with the oak frame and as shown starts to turn a beautiful silver colour with age. Pool House and Gazebo Surrey

This Pool house combined with a gazebo boasts storage and changing facilities but also a spot perfect for chilling and dinning outside. This was a lovely project that was shipped over to Belgium in as a kit form and erected there. Oak weatherboard has been used with cedar shingle roofing tiles which can be a lower cost option with regards to roofing tile options, however do not have the same longevity as clay or slate for example. Smart aluminium guttering and cottage style windows have also been used.

These type of oak framed buildings not only look great during the day, but lit up at night can completely transform a space.

Outdoor Kitchen Design and Build in Kent

This is a bespoke design outdoor living building which has been designed to provide an outdoor kitchen and dining space with a store room to the side.

This building was exported to Belgium in kit form for self assembly. It created a great Alfresco Dining experience and space to entertain outdoors whilst providing shelter from the, “occasional” summer shower!

circular holes have been cut into the weatherboard and studwork to fit circular windows into the apex on different sides of the building for style and get more natural light into the building. Main building aspects include softwood weatherboarding, aluminium guttering, oak frame & oak joinery with clay pantiles used on the roofing.

The building has been finished beautifully with a number of personal touches to enhance the overall functionality and aesthetics.

Oak Gazebo Kitchen in East Sussex

This Gorgeous oak frame gazebo has four feature oak trusses with oak purlins running alongside them in the gable shaped open sided roof. The vaulted roof internally is framed by oak rafters with oak tongue & grove boarding running behind which looks beautiful when sat beneath this garden building.

This oak framed building has created a great outdoor entertaining space with a built in kitchen area complete with granite work tops, kitchen sink, dish washer, pizza oven, log store, BBQ & gas stove paella dish! Outside our clients have also extenuated this space with outdoor furniture and a built in fire pit.

Outdoor lighting is a great tool that has been used inside the oak framed gazebo kitchen which also looks stunning lit up at night. It was a pleasure for our expert carpenters to make and assembly this oak frame gazebo and all the team here at the Oak Designs Company wish our clients some great parties for years to come!

Garden Man Cave in East Sussex

This garden man cave design provides a great area to entertain throughout the year and the shape has been based on a four bay full span fully hipped garage. Three pairs of softwood garage doors have been used and painted, two sets of which have been placed parallel to each other at the front & rear of the building. This has created a lockable secure area as well as a through flow from the driveway at the front of the house to the rear garden that would have normally been only accessible by footpath.

Floor joists have also been used above this through flow space garage bay which has in turn created a savvy storage area that keeps clutter out of eye sight. another pair of garage doors have been used at the front of the building which can be opened up to allow more light into the building as well as lot of ventilation when cooking on the amazing built in BBQ behind the doors. A Velux window in the roof has been put in for the same reason.

The main point of access to this garden man cave is on the right hand side where you can walk from the outdoor pool area to the undercover pool table further on behind this there is a built in granite topped bar. With built in sink, fridge, grill, BBQ, smoker and dishwasher this bar area makes this garden man cave a very enjoyable space, ideal for entertaining throughout the year rain or shine.

However our personal favourite part of this epic outdoor entertainment space is the rear half section of the building where it has been left open which offers views across the garden from the seating area as well as a separate outdoor fireplace and chimney. I was told by our client that it kicks out so much heat he can easily sit outside in the dead of winter and it’s a great space for all his family and friends to use throughout the year. With these types of buildings BBQ’s don’t have to be a summer event you could even have a Christmas BBQ also!

This oak frame building is going to look better and better as it ages, the oak weatherboard and oak frame will gradually silver and this combination with the polished granite floor, the painted softwood doors, the outdoor fireplace and the red clay tile roof will look truly stunning.

Bespoke Radcliffe Gazebo in Essex

This Oak Frame Gazebo design was based on our Radcliffe design but with a bespoke size of 3m x 6m. Designed to take centre stage in the middle of our clients garden to provide an ideal spot for relaxing and entertaining rain or shine all year round giving shelter and privacy, this was an ideal build to add value onto the clients property.

The pitch on the roof was increased which further enhances the vaulted ceiling with exposed oak feature trusses and purlins running through out from front middle and rear creating an almost cathedral like feel from beneath.

Oak rafters were used tying in seamlessly with the rest of the oak frame which also draw the eye when beneath the oak frame gazebo. our client had external lighting wired up which really enhance the ceiling and space at night.

Reclaimed clay pan tiles were used on the roof, mirrored also in a three bay oak frame garage we made. We thought these tiles looked great & help increase the traditional charm of both the garage & gazebo. Limestone paving slabs were laid after assembly enhancing the space also.
