This one & a half bay full span custom garage has been designed with a gable roof at the front and a fully hipped roof with adjoining log store. The extended rear of the building follows through into the garden with access through a personnel door next to a custom sized mullion window.
Internally the garage provides great storage with the added benefit of the half bay. This then in hand helps free up further space at the rear for a garden store and workshop area. The half bay attachment and full span shape are great design tools when trying to maximise storage when building on a plot that is restrictive in size. Although a full span shape is normally a higher cost than using a catslide shaped building, it does maximise storage with the same height at the rear as the front. This then also in turn gives the space more ability to be used in different ways, effectively future proofing a building.
This beautiful oak framed building has a log store at the rear which has been built following the roof line down into the garden which looks superb especially with the logs underneath and tools hung up on the weatherboard. Two mullion and two Velux windows have been used to allow a lot of natural light into the building, also a log burner has been installed internally to kick out some heat when working in the workshop during those cold winter months.
