This custom 3 bay full span garage was designed for a grade two listed property in a conservation area. This project involved the demolition of an existing garage/store building & the erection of a new oak frame garage with gym, laundry room and guest suite above.

This building was designed by us and fitted by our assembly team to our top tier habitable dwelling specification, this then allowed for general builders to do the final internal fit so all the electrics plumbing, decorating etc. Overall size wise this building measures externally 8.85m x 6.34m with a 45 degreee main pitch roof.

The gable roof shown on this oak frame building was taken up to rafter level by our Oak Design's carpenters, With our roofing services using our ‘penshurst’ handmade clay tiles. Four conservation top hung Velux rooflights have been used with two on each side of the oak framed building allowing lots of natural light throughout the top floor. To increase the feeling of space & light in these areas further dormer windows are great option. We also can supply & fit Velux roof balcony windows for more information on these visit out accessories page.

Larch weatherboard & stops were used externally on this build. The larch will silver naturally with exposure to the sun and like our oak weatherboard not requiring maintenance like softwood weatherboard.

The enclosed right hand side bay on this oak frame garage has one of our handmade D1 painted softwood personnel doors. This included frame, cill & all fittings required.

On the ground floor customized bay sizes have allowed for 2.9m between the posts on two open bays for easy daily access in and out as well as a side return  on the left hand side to compliment the buildings aesthetics, as well as creating practical benefits on the ground floor & 1st floor.

Through the personnel door you step through into a hallway with a handmade oak internal staircase with understairs storage and a rear room with one of our W2 double casement windows overlooking a paddock. Upstairs is a separate bathroom complete with shower, basin & toilet whilst the other room comprises of an open plan studio, bedroom, kitchen, workspace & lounge area. Added storage has been added in the eaves on both sides.
