This stunning oak porch with its exposed oak internal rafters, copper guttering and its surrounding glass facade have been used to create a bight open secure space that acts as a brilliant statement piece before entering into the main house whilst also at the same time remaining a strategic storage area.
underfloor heating beneath the stone floor has been used by the clients and as you can see within the pictures these clients have children so as you can imagine having that extra wide area and double door really helped them unloading and loading young children in and out of push chairs with all the gear that comes with them!
With age the external oak framework will silver, as it has on the rest of the house. As you can see by the side profile photo the roofing on this porch does not butt up at the back to the main house due to the windows behind. This was designed on purpose to make it a more cost effective alternative but to also allow the existing windows to let in a decent amount of light into the existing hallway within the house.
