These photos were kindly sent in by one of our customers. Similar to an oak frame garage this full span shaped structure provides a vaulted ceiling but has a reduced roof pitch supported by independent posts and is open to the front rear and sides. This type of building is commonly referred to as an oak framed car port.
The building has feature braces in front of the weatherboard which increase the buildings charm and increased sized timbers have been used in this bespoke design to accommodate for the low pitch roof and to give an extremely strong structure.
As this building ages the oak frame and larch cladding will soften in colour and then silver from exposure to the sun increasing the buildings natural charm, whilst also blending in more with its natural surroundings of our clients stone built house and neighbouring buildings.
