This gorgeous three and a half bay catslide garage is a prime example of how our buildings can get better and better with age. On this building a full hipped roof has been chosen with slate tiling, larch weatherboard has been used which starts off as a reddish pink hue in colour and silvers similar to oak as it ages. Also it is a lower cost than oak and unlike softwood doesn’t need treating every few years or so.
Towards the left of this building an enclosed bay with a half bay attachment has been used as a mechanics workshop which gives ample space and security. Further on from this a side log store has been added which works great and follows the sloping shape of the fully hipped roof.
This project we did all aspects of the build including ground works, roofing and assembly. The project allowed for a completely different design of the driveway which made access much easier for the client, aswell as improving the parking for two neighbouring plots. Now it’s all complete it looks great and has certainly added a lot of value onto the property. It was a pleasure to do this project and be able to make a new home for the stunning Austin Healey and Alvis!
